About Subic Bay Pride 2006 - Rainbow Carnivale!

SUBIC PRIDE ’06 would be the first GAY PRIDE CELEBRATION in the locale.

The event would start with a pride parade composed of members of the LGBT community of Olongapo City, Zambales, Bataan and other nearby areas in colorful costumes.

The parade would be culminated by a party.

The party would feature the top LGBT Movement of the Philippines, ANG LADLAD, which will also run for partylist on the 2007 elections, headed by Danton Remoto. Top local gay performers would also be invited to perform in the said program.

Through an all-male "STRIP-FASHION" show featuring the clothes of CHILLI, drag-queens performances, fire dance and poy exhibition, and hard-core clubbing - power GAYS will simply have the time of their lives.

Upbeat rave music will continuously play during the party. GO-GO Boys are placed strategically within venue to set the mood of the party.

Overall, SUBIC PRIDE is an empowering celebration that will free gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgenders from their inhibitions . . . . even just for a night.

4:00pm – 5:00pm: ASSEMBLY FOR THE PARADE. (GOLDEN DRAGON PARKING LOT, SBMA)

• DIVAS LIVE - Top local gay performers in a mind-blowing performance. A display of musicality, versatility, and talent . . . never fails to impress an audience.

  This will showcase prominent gays, lesbians, transgenders, and bisexuals from different fields and their take on love, sex, life, desires, and motivations with regard to empowerment, equality, social-acceptance and self-pride.

• ANG LADLAD SPOT
  a dance performance conveying the lifestyle of the third sex, social issues and relationships as displayed in a modern jazz dance piece
